What is everyones way of dealing with SSH keys on many machines?

I currently just have one private key that I effectively have on every device.
I would like to change that, but then I will have to start managing authorized_keys everywhere somehow.
Anyone got any good methods to deal with key distribution?

@jana one key per device
using nixos with the config files being in a public repo so the keys are always readable for this one here
a repo where you can always access them maybe? /shrug
